When spending a weekend in Vaughan, it’s important to take in as much as you possibly can and here’s what you should spend you time doing while you’re here.

Shopping

View Some Art
Whether you’re a big fan of famous artists – like the Group of Seven – or not, the McMichael Canadian Art Collection is a must see for everyone. While the gallery itself is quite small, the building sits on over 40 hectares of forest. Located at 10365 Islington Ave, this venue also boasts a sculpture garden and a cemetery where six of the Group of Seven members are buried.

Visit Another City

Visit a Theme Park
It’s almost impossible to visit Vaughan without making a trip to Canada’s Wonderland. Vaughan is home to Canada’s largest theme park while boasting the tallest and fastest roller coaster in Canada. Take a short drive out to 1 Canada’s Wonderland Drive and explore what this theme park has to offer. From thrill rides to a huge wave pool, and everything in between you will not regret spending a day – or even two – at this must see Vaughan venue.

Play a Round
Of golf, that is! Vaughan has more than enough golf courses to keep even the most avid golfer busy. While all of the courses in Vaughan are fantastic, some are open to the public while others are private. One of the more popular – and prestigious – golf courses in Vaughan is the Eagles Nest Golf Club, which can be found at 10000 Dufferin Street. Whether you prefer to golf in the morning, afternoon or evening there’s rates and times to meet your preference.

Spending a weekend in Vaughan may not be enough time for you to really take in all this ever-growing city has to offer. There’s so much to see and do you’ll likely find yourself thinking about coming back sooner than you think so you can visit all the sites you didn’t see before.
